I am directed by the Board of Trade to advert to
You.
your letter of 5th September, (7o.25811), with its enclos-
ures, relative to a proposed Trade Mark Ordinance for
Tong Kong; and, in reply, I am to state, for the information
of Lord Crewe, that, in view of the opinions expressed by
the responsible officials of the Colony as well as by the
local Chamber of Commerce, the Board do not desire to press
further for the inclusion in the Ordinance of the special
provision with regard to Cotton Marks suggested in their
Br 9093
letter of 30th March (C. 1512).
